Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Plans & facilitates a variety of training programs (both virtually & in-person) for Field Sales: Beauty Consultant Training (selling and service skills, new product training, makeup artistry, special events, and basic schools)
- Acts as a liaison between Education Director and mLearning company to create effective & engaging content for key education modules in a timely manner
- Coordinates asset/content delivery for mLearning site
- Monitors & tracks mLearning Engagement to coach Account Executives & Beauty Consultants to performance standards
- Creates various Education templates to support field sales team including event writeups, promotions overviews, product overviews
- Supports key retailers with education site updates
- Assesses/evaluates training needs/priorities and communicates these directly to the Director of Training. Develops training action plan according to these assessments – includes strategies, sales results, and field expectations of future programs.
- Educate Elizabeth Arden Beauty Expert & Specialist Teams on new product launches and new event tools and services seasonally.
- Reinforces the Elizabeth Arden training message at every opportunity – i.e. in-store visits, during retailer presentations, etc.
- Participates actively in key retailer presentations in order to emphasize the importance of training in achieving sales performance and in building consumer loyalty.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Beauty Consultants, Field Sales, retailers, store personnel, and the New York Office.
- Evaluates and measures the effectiveness of training programs.
- Negotiates for preferred rates with different venues to keep within budget requirements.
- Allocates required time needed to coordinate shipping training materials to all schools on a timely basis
- Manage training supplies and Beauty Consultant gratis allocations.
- Participates actively in all Field Sales Director meetings and conference calls.
- Consults with Field Sales Management, Counter Managers and Retailers on a regular basis to keep track of Beauty Consultant progress and productivity
- Manages individual training and T & E budgets.
- Travel requirements, 20-30%
- Conducts in-store follow-up training to review key seasonal training messages (focus products, selling skills, etc).
- Coaches and develops the Beauty Consultant teams to increase productivity and average unit sale for desired retail results.
- Hold Beauty Specialist and Beauty Expert Teams accountable for image and service experience expectations.
- Collaborates with Field Sales Director on a Training Action Plan/Strategy that supports the short and long term retail sales goals of the region/territory includes:
- Specific strategies/training programs for target doors
- When not facilitating training seminars ongoing participation in-store to help drive retail sales in key markets
- Resource allocation (training time and dollars) according to key business priorities
- Training and development of Counter Managers, Beauty Consultants, and Retail Sales Specialist.
Preferred & Required Skills:
- Bachelors Degree required.
- Excellent platform training, interpersonal, negotiating, and organization skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and presentation skills.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with other internal departments.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- 3+ year’s sales/training.
