Undersea Technology Intelligence Analyst

Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a senior all-source intelligence analyst to conduct analysis at the Office of Naval Intelligence.

Location: The successful candidate will support the Office of Naval Intelligence onsite at their Suitland, MD location.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will conduct expert analysis on existing and future undersea system capabilities, industry technology development, and operational methodologies. Analysis will include domestic and international undersea technology systems and will involve research and attendance at selected maritime domestic and international technology conferences. Knowledge and expertise in the following undersea systems and technologies is essential:

• Unmanned undersea vehicles
• Manned submersibles
• Seafloor imaging sensors (acoustic and optical)
• Undersea vehicle navigation and positioning

Required Qualifications:

• Eight years’ experience including all-source intelligence analysis in the maritime domain
• Experience in foreign maritime analysis
• U.S. Citizen possessing an Active Department of Defense Top Secret Security Clearance/SCI eligibility*; position will require a CI Poly within 6 months

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Eight years’ experience in maritime operations analysis
• Solid grasp of maritime vessel operations
• Solid grasp of underwater vehicle systems and operations
• Solid knowledge of maritime system/platform capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills in interacting with customers, colleagues and other technical staff in a courteous and friendly manner
• Demonstrated ability to present information clearly and concisely in both written and oral presentation
• Experience with Geographical Information Systems (ESRI ArcGIS preferred)

• Maintaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves periodic comprehensive background checks. Candidates are eligible for a clearance if they have demonstrated sound financial management (including good credit) over time, are free of criminal records, have limited foreign contacts or ties, and other factors indicative of a position of trust to protect information sensitive to the U.S. Government.
