TUTORPrivate, non-profit, special needs residential school servicing adolescent young women is seeking a Tutor 4 days per week: Monday through Thursday, 3 pm 5:30 pm.Bachelors Degree preferred.$25 per hour.An Equal Opportunity Employer.The tutor will work collaboratively with the Special Education teacher to support students across all content areas. The tutor should have knowledge of math curriculum through Algebra II, basic knowledge of a range of science domains, and strong ELA foundational skills. The work hours are approximately 3 PM 5:30 PM Monday through Thursday working in a 1:1 or small group setting.Tutors support students in work completion and content mastery. Tutors do not create lesson plans, but rather assist in providing additional support for teacher supplied assignments.Essential Academic Tutor Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support to students in their math & science coursesBe comfortable providing some support in various content areasAssist teacher in oversight of day-to-day activities in classroomCommunicate with teacher about student progress to assist student in staying current on all coursework and relaying any concerns to SpecialEducation teacherBe able to give instruction on new materialAssist in preparation for any advanced placement testsSupport the classroom teacher in providing a safe, supportive environmentFollow all behavior support protocols in place
