Our Birmingham team is looking for compassionate and reliable team members that have willingness for full-time availability to work in Tuscaloosa and the surrounding areas. We have shift schedules that meet whenever you are available to work: day shift (7am-7pm), night shift (7pm-7am), first shift (7am-3pm), second shift (3pm-11pm), third shift (11pm-7am).We have recognized industry professionals, sophisticated technology platforms and are on the cutting edge of healthcare in Alabama. We are Joint Commission Accredited for non-medical and skilled nursing services. You can make a difference in your career by helping people stay in the comfort of their homes. We have long-term cases in private homes that we need additional staff to help. If you prefer shift work and not specific, regular cases, we have that option as an organization. Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):
- Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
- Ambulation/Transfers
- Eating
- Dressing/Shaving
- Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
- Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments.
- Performs light housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom
- Medication reminders
- Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
- Measuring and preparing special diets
- Understanding dementia care
- Incontinence care
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
- 1 year of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities).
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and insured automobile
