Turning Operator, 3rd Shift

Greenfield Industries has been manufacturing cutting tools in Seneca, SC since the 1960s. We are an established employer with strong processes and a commitment to safety and quality. We seek additional team members as the result of high demand for our products. Machine Operators may operate a variety of machine in a variety of departments. They will prepare blanks by using a variety of methods as required per customer work order.

Successful applicants will:

• Be proficient in using Micrometers and Calipers.
• Have Basic computer skills.
• Have mechanical ability and be able to use measuring equipment skills include the use of a protractor and shadowgraph.
• Able to read and understand blue print specifications
• Comprehend and follow instructions and multi-task.
• Demonstrate acceptable written and verbal communication skills.
• Communicate effectively at all levels within the organization. Lift up to 45 pounds, stand, stoop, climb, and walk on a regular basis.
• Prepare the required paperwork completely and accurately. Excellent customer service skills. Work independently and productively.
• Have a HS diploma or equivalent; some tech school or career center experience highly desired

Must be able to walk distances that include the entire production facility, stand 8 hours, meet deadlines, work effectively with others, manage breaks to ensure that machines operate and meet attendance standards. Working safely is a condition of employment and wearing safety glasses, non slip shoes, face coverings and adhering to social distancing are part of our requirements.
