Position Title: TRiO Talent Search Media Communications Coordinator
Position Description: This position handles various office and communication activities for the TRiO Talent Search Office. Projects mainly encompass video design and creation, as well as other marketing materials to be used by the TRiO Talent Search Office.
Supervisors Title: Director of TRiO Talent Search Program
Position Status: Part-time, 10 hours per week, Primarily September through June, 450 annual hours, Flexible/Alternative Schedule, distribution of hours based on institutional need and funding availability. Grant Funded.
Classification/Points: E, 675
Bargaining Unit/Division: Michigan Education Association, Educational Support Professionals, Division II Technical
Position Qualifications:
- Associate or higher degree required in a related field including advertising, communications, marketing or graphic design; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with video editing software and digital file management.
- Word processing and desktop publishing software proficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work as a team member and take direction, but also work independently and prioritize workload.
- Excellent proofreading skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Willing/able to work flexible hours as required/needed.
Position Responsibilities:

- Write, design, create and publish information including brochures to the website for viewing by targeted demographic, while following ACC’s marketing and graphic design specifications.
- Manage social media.
- Coordinate and organize video content with ACC staff and departments to provide a consistent, effective user experience across all affiliated websites.
- Research, implement and support strategies to enhance web-based communications and marketing efforts.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Travel: This position does not require travel.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
