Overview

The Gaming Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the basic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of gaming terminals while in a casino and gaming service environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform installations, de-installations and relocations of game devices.
  • Troubleshoots gaming equipment to determine cause of failure and perform necessary resolution, escalate when necessary. This may include swapping failed equipment, cleaning and/or repairing the malfunctioning component.
  • Set up game options and test various devices, e.g. bill acceptors
  • Perform software and system integration verification tests for jackpots
  • Test programs with various verification devices such as Kobetron and Chip Comparator
  • Troubleshoot with input and output tests
  • Tests pay table, reel strip and bonus awards
  • Up to 80% travel domestically and internationally
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Must be able to obtain gaming licenses in multiple states/jurisdictions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electronics,electro-mechanical, telecom or computer equipment required. Experience in setting up computer networks and A+ Certification, N+Certification or similar is preferred.

Must also have knowledge and experience in:

  • AC/DC fundamentals
  • Tools and experience using tools is required
  • Reading and translating wiring diagrams
  • Maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting to component/circuit level
  • This position also requires the ability to lift 50lbs, ability to travel, willingness to work varied shifts and overtime as required, pass the DMV check and have a valid state driver’slicense and a good driving record, and be able to obtain the necessary state, local and tribal gaming license(s). Must also be able to pass IGT security background check.
