Transportation Planner

Overview: Our Fort Lauderdale office is looking for a Transportation Planner with 4+ years of experience to join our Transportation Planning and Traffic Operations team.Responsibilities: This individual will support and often take the lead on various transportation planning activities. Tasks may include: developing traffic impact studies, traffic control plans, intersection control evaluations, traffic analysis, signage and striping, and other transportation related duties. We’re seeking an individual interested in contributing to the growth of this practice by participating in client meetings, client communication/coordination, mentorship of junior-level staff and task management while working with a variety of individuals.Qualifications:

• 4 or more years of relevant experience
• Have a BS or MS in Planning
• AICP certification or the ability to obtain within 12 months of employment
• Technical skills in transportation planning
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong technical writing skills
• Sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team
