Transportation Logistics Analyst

The Transportation Logistics Analyst is responsible to serve as an escalation point for logistics related items for assigned modes. Oversees and support logistics execution and suppliers’ performance. He/She will also assist the Procurement Manager with spot quotes and Contract management.

Logistics Services:

• Implement logistics strategies - per Global Procurement guidelines.
• Support Global Procurement to execute Supplier Relationship Management processes:

• Supplier implementation/ onboarding; monitoring suppliers via KPI’s/scorecards; auditing suppliers; perform supplier stratification/classification;
• Conduct supplier support (eg. linking suppliers with operations; support contract changes)
• Quality concerns/ customer complaints for assigned modes

• Support key stakeholders and internal/external customers in executing logistics activities in assigned categories. Facilitating near and mid-term requirements.
• Provides spot quotes for assigned categories.
• Work with Cross Functional team (including 3rd Supplier) to improve logistics execution and to help deliver global annual cost savings objectives.
• Preparation and submission of freight claims for assigned modes
• Support continuous improvement in a prioritized way in close cooperation with the Senior Manager –Logistics (including KPI management; including fulfilment of requirements of the ISO 9001 system)
• Support projects and site activities as required

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s in business or Supply Chain (or similar; or equivalent work experience)
• >5yrs of supply chain experience
• Supply Chain background a plus (planning/S&OP, service provider management, process/data management)
• Experience with Isotanks & Bulk vessel shipments (a plus)
• Strong user knowledge in MS-Outlook, MS-Excel, MS-Word, SharePoint, ERP system
