Job Summary
The Transportation Coordinator will maintain/build schedules within a EMR system, perform tracking to ensure routes are met within the expected timeframe, manage van inspections and vehicle maintenance services as well as transports AbsoluteCare medical patients to and from many different medical venues including appointments for AbsoluteCare office, home, hospital, emergency room. Extensive knowledge of local routes and roads and the ability to navigate them efficiently.
The Transportation Coordinator will analyze cost and recommend more cost-effective methods of transportation. Update and provide tracking information to members as well as to internal managers. Assign drivers to routes to avoid possible delays, handle member complaints, and investigate issues. Records driver concerns along with policy violations and direct main issues to Operations Director. Ensure to dispatch all company drivers.
Education and Experience
- AA degree in business management or certificate in logistics or related field.
- 2+ years prior experience as a transport coordinator or a similar role
- 2+ years full-time experience providing vehicle transportation to passengers with medical needs or disability needs.
- Great experience and track record with 5-star customer service.
- Commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement preferred.
- First Aid certification preferred.
- CPR certification required, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Satisfactory motor vehicle record and criminal history record; ability to pass a full background check.
- Maintain valid driver's license, physical exam certifications
