Job Description
The Transplant Data Coordinator collects, enters and reports financial and clinical data for the Transplant Service Line to be used for internal and external purposes. This job responds to data inquiries. This job reports on outcomes, complications, case volumes, discharges reports, financial analysis, graft and patient survival, research, etc. This job's esponsibilities include problem solving for issues in data flow; development and implementation of data modules as required; continuous evaluation of ongoing data elements for utility, and quality through data analysis and interpretation. This job also collaborates and validates data with Decision Support, Performance Improvement and other related areas to correlate findings.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/A Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of two (2) years of computer work experience with clinical data collection and reporting. Previous experience with relational database management and design. Previous experience with all Microsoft applications and with e-mail/calendaring applications. Previous experience in intermediate or advanced level Excel spreadsheets and databases. Experience PREFERRED: Previous experience with transplant databases such as UNET, CTRD, INTERMACS, etc. Previous experience with data systems and electronic medical records such as Cerner, IDX, UNET. Previous transplant experience. Education/training REQUIRED: Associate's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Accounting, Information Technology or closely related field ;from an accredited program. Education/training PREFERRED: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Accounting, Information Technology or closely related field from an accredited program. Independent action(s) required: Registers patients and enters all pertinent data in the UNET registration system. Collects, analyzes and reports data for internal and external purposes. Serves as the UNET liaison. Provides accurate monthly reports for transplant volumes, waitlist volumes, tickler lists and annual reports as requested. Tracks and reports calendar year update whenever a patient is transplanted or has a device implanted. Maintains assigned dashboards and ;quarterly reports. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: May be required to work weekends or off shifts for urgent issues related to the department needs.
