RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Android Training Specialist, you will design, develop, write, and maintain Android training curriculum for our global external developer community, with the potential to reach millions of users. You will partner with subject matter experts and other technical writers to create and deliver engaging and effective learning experiences tailored to students of various backgrounds, from beginner to advanced. You also will be expected to establish and maintain productive relationships with partners, identify student needs and requirements, and manage and curate multiple sources of content.
This is a full-time salaried role with benefits fixed term with our client for 6-8 months with possibility of extension.
· Build Android curriculum that demonstrates best practices to students, from beginner-level to advanced, including developing code samples.
· Write technical documentation and other student-facing learning content.
· Create student-facing projects and assessments.
· Collaborate closely with subject matter experts who may be developer advocates, product engineers, software engineers, and/or technical writers, to design, develop and organize online educational content.
· Maintain and modify existing content, updating, and improving content as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· At least 3 years’ experience in technical writing or teaching and delivering educational content.
· At least 1 year developing Android apps, either for training purposes or in a production environment
· Demonstrated record of working effectively on cross-functional teams
· Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical groups
· Ability to manage and organize your tasks and workload
Preferred
· BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
· Experience working with educational technology platforms
· Professional experience in mobile application development
· Ability to manage your own workload and tasks independently
· Experience working on teams that use agile project management methodology
· Tolerance and enthusiasm for ambiguity and change
