ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a facilitator for a variety of meetings and ad hoc projects to include setting the agenda, managing to the agenda, controlling the meeting environment, tracking action items, distributing meeting minutes, and reporting to stakeholders to ensure everyone is up to speed on project status and next steps.
- Support the successful planning and execution of meetings and working sessions that have stated goals and/or objectives and require actionable outcomes for the PMO.
- Assist with managing, tracking, and reporting on the required funding and the budget for the initiative, project, or task in its purview
- Identify key decision points and policy guidelines for organizational training and development strategy
- Facilitate decision making on high level approaches (i.e. standardization, resource allocation, candidate selection criteria, career progression, etc.), as well as develop and publish policy guidance
- Monitor and evaluate implementation, progress, and effectiveness of the training framework and make recommendations as needed
- Conduct environmental scans and stakeholder validation for the building and maintenance of competency models, skill gap analyses for identification of focus areas for training, training and developmental offering identification (in conjunction with Training Coordinator)
- Oversee training execution for the PMO. This includes the following tasks:
- Monitor compliance with CBP mandatory trainings.
- Develop trainings.
- Guide certification process for PMO employees.
- Assist in the creation of individual development plans.
- Manage Training SharePoint page (or its replacement).
- Assist Government in training course research and training course logistics.
- Support employee engagement activities across the Border Patrol and Air & Marine (BPAM) PMO to include the development and implementation of quarterly the ‘In the Know' sessions that allow BPAM employees an opportunity to learn about a variety of cross-cutting topics.
- Coordinate and facilitate a Community of Practice for mission support specialists and executive assistants, including developing content for and facilitating recurring training sessions that focus on creating opportunities for these employees to share lessons learned, best practices and learn about relevant mission support related topics.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
- This position will not have supervisory/management authority.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five (5) or more years of experience is required.
- Experience preferably in a federal setting
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Utilizing and applying computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- SharePoint experience
- Facilitation experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of Facilities and Infrastructure Tracking Tool (FITT) preferred
- Knowledge of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) methodology preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to obtain a Clearance or Common Access Card (CAC)
- Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and federal background check
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position is primarily performed in a secured federal office setting, a controlled office environment as well as working outside in a job site environment.

The Training Development Manager will assist as a training facilitator to assist with the development of a training framework in which the required and desired core competencies, technical skills, certifications, and experiences for each PMO role. The Training Development Manager will also analyze the PMO's training program at a macro-level and will provide recommendations on budget allocation, career progression opportunities, compliance, and implementation of new programs and offerings.
