The Office of Enterprise Development is seeking candidates for Training and Development Specialist 3 (Leadership Development Coordinator). This position will be remote for the foreseeable future by may require office presence in at times or in the future. JOIN OUR TEAM!!!

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Pay Grade: KUnder broad supervision, responsible for assessing, planning and/or coordinating training sessions for an agency. Performs end-to-end learning and development. Evaluates training and learning outcomes in relation to functional and/or technical training activities.The Leadership Development Coordinator trains and assesses the leadership training needs of managers/supervisors and provides professional development courses; consults, designs, develops, delivers presentations (both in classroom and virtually) and continuously revises appropriate learning and development training materials, activities, classes, webinars, and other learning resources. Provides ongoing collaboration, coaching, and training to managers/supervisors and other employees that support the agency mission. Top goals will be to create, schedule, track, and facilitate classroom and virtual learning. The ideal candidate will be ready to innovate, to leverage and exhaust existing solutions, and to creatively engage an extended network of contributors and experts. Success in this role means you have delivered and contributed to building training programs.Role and Responsibilities: Under limited supervision, the Training & Development Specialist 3/Training and Development Coordinator: Delivers and assesses leadership training and development opportunities to provide new and emerging leaders with the opportunity to define and explore the essential elements of leadership.Collaborates with key stakeholders to design leadership program course content and curriculum.Provides training and coaching for managers and other employees on an individual, departmental, or site basis.Presents on topics related to distance learning, technology and course design at state, regional, or national meetings as needed.Conducts necessary research to develop and deliver both leadership and professional development courses across the agency.Focuses on adult learning methodologies, presentation techniques, and course pacing.Works to identify areas of improvement where stronger training is needed within the agency.Consults, designs, develops, and delivers presentations both in classroom and virtual learning.Applies project management, communication, and problem-solving skills in the design of all training projects to meet aggressive deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Develops and designs cohesive real-world scenario-based curriculum handouts, guides, workbooks, and PowerPoints for both leadership and professional development courses.Designs production of learning objects in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, and video to support online coursework and programs. Utilizes instructional design protocol (ADDIE, Kirkpatrick Model of Evaluation, etc.).Edits instructional and supporting materials for content, grammar, clarity, consistency, quality, and accuracy of content. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of leadership development and professional development topics for use in learning curriculum. Maintains tracking database/spreadsheet, files, and records for course development launch and updates.Coordinates and maintains training, rosters, attendance, courses schedules and descriptions, etc. in the Learning Management Systems.Implements training plans with assessments for employee development.Compiles and analyzes evaluation data, registrations, and other metrics to determine participation rates, effectiveness of training, satisfaction measurements, and return on investment (ROI).Creates room reservations, agendas/materials, meals, and supplies for leadership development programs and professional development courses.Sets up virtual training courses, schedules courses for leadership development programs and professional development courses.Assists the Director and Senior Training Manager with the development of department goals, objectives, policies and procedures in a manner that is consistent with the mission of DHS.Supports the Senior Training Manager with assigned duties and acts as the department’s subject matter expertPerforms other professional responsibilities as assigned.Mentor other instructors in the subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned courses.Ability to travel approximately 25-35% throughout Georgia.Core Competencies: Excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with diverse audiences. Communicates effectively and concisely with stakeholders and leaders about our programs and objectives.Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment; Adobe and Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) experience required.Experience collaborating with stakeholders using OneDrive and SharePoint.Create, develop, and update program materials, communications, etc.Experience in using tools and applications to effectively and efficiently produce desired results.Experience in managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks.Demonstrate knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design.Experience in proofreading and editing training materials.Experience mentoring, coaching and instructing adult learners.Ability to demonstrate effective active listening, organizational, planning, critical thinking, and group facilitation skills.Must be a team player with the ability to work independently at times and be accountable for results.Ability to work effectively at multiple levels of the organization, with multiple project teams and external stakeholders.Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Have the capacity to operate within a confidential environment.Maintains an exceptionally positive attitude and models this extraordinary behavior always.Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Meridian, Cornerstone, ANGEL, Blackboard, Moodle.Experience with training sessions through webinars using tools such as MS Teams, Skype.Builds and maintains positive relationships at all levels of the organization.Additional functions of the role may include developing and designing curriculum, guides, and workbooks. Responsible for tracking course participation metrics, promoting course participation while ensuring consistency, clarity of content, grammar and sentence structure, and high-quality training. This position also works various projects ensuring timely completions as well as monitoring and responding to questions pertaining to course registration in the LMS.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED AND Three (3) years of experience providing educational, training or instructional services in functional area.Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following education/skills/experience: Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Education or a related field from an accredited college AND Three (3) years of experience training in-classroom and virtual learning, along with soft skills courses.
