Job Summary:
The Mid-Level Training Developer/Consultant participates in the analysis of training needs, generation of ideas, and development and implementation of instructor-led training, manuals, simulations, user guides, job aids, FAQ documents, Webcast, Webinars and other web-based tools. This role is responsible for developing all training/course content for their assigned portfolio. The trainer must have a consultative skill set and collaborative working style. The work requires the individual to be highly adaptable to change, work within tight timelines, and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for a training portfolio of applications and provide training and organizational change management support for those applications.
  • Conducts training need analysis for each application, including functions, audience, roles and skills, training infrastructure and timing.
  • Work with application SMEs, Training Lead, developers and leadership to identify training needs.
  • Design, develop and deliver a variety of training materials as needed, including Instructor-Led Training (ILT), web-based training, user guides and job aids.
  • Contributes to all phases of learning projects using the Analysis Design Delivery Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model and methodology.
  • Conducts pre and post course needs/gap analysis; develop measures success of training materials; evaluate collateral and delivery methods.
  • Analyze assessment and evaluation results to recommend design/development improvements.
  • Document process workflows.
  • Assist Training/Learning Lead in gathering existing training curriculum, and information that may be used to develop and assess the current/future training program
  • Participate in the Change Management process, ensuring alignment of all training collateral with overarching OCM goals and processes.
  • Travel will be required.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have an active a security clearance (Secret)
  • 3-5 years professional training experience (Required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in: Training & Development, Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Leadership or other related area (Required)
  • Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Applications (Required)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications (Required)
  • 3+ years’ experience with Oracle User Productivity Kit (Highly desirable)
  • Training Material Development, including alignment to Organizational Change Management
  • Position requires experience in content capture and development
  • Working knowledge of MS Project an asset
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, strong facilitation skills (including technical writing ability)
  • Keen understanding of end-user needs; ability to communicate effectively with all internal stakeholders; ability to work well in a team atmosphere
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience with Captivate (desired)
  • Experience with training development
