Your Impact:
In this role, the Traffic Engineer will assist the team by performing the routine aspects of traffic engineering assignments; subsequently providing familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company. This position is expected to work in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area.
Perform signal operation projects including the following:
- Clearance interval calculation
- Signal timing optimization
- Active traffic management
- Timing database entry
Familiarity with traffic signal software and systems including:
- MaxView/MaxTime, ATSPM, Ritis
- Proficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic
- Working knowledge of Microstation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
- Understanding and familiarity with MUTCD and GDOT Design Guidelines and Standards
- Coordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group.
- Attends client meetings and provides project status updates.
- Ability to work remotely and communicate with the home office.
- Assists with other duties assigned by Traffic Engineers and/or Project Managers.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required- Active PE license is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in traffic signal operations and retiming
