Life Journey Psychological Services is a rapidly growing private mental health practice looking for Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists for our growing clientele. We are currently hiring for our Lowell location.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

Equine Beginner Clinician: Clinicians with a passion for horses and a desire to learn. Experience with horses preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. These clinicians will work with horses and expert horse handlers at our Lowell office to provide psychotherapy (not therapy for those with physical disabilities) to clients at one of the most prestigious barns in West Michigan: Rivendell Stables (https://www.facebook.com/RivendellStable/). This is a 30 acre, 35 stall, 100 x 200 indoor arena, heated track area equine facility with beautifully decorated psychological offices. You do not have to be a certified equine therapist, but you must be licensed in the state of Michigan as a limited or fully licensed social worker, counselor, psychologist or family and marriage therapist.

Equine Expert Clinician: Clinicians with an extensive background in riding horses to provide equine therapy in Lowell, Michigan. These clinicians will work with horses to provide psychotherapy (not therapy for those with physical disabilities) at one of the most prestigious barns in West Michigan: Rivendell Stables (https://www.facebook.com/RivendellStable/). This is a 30 acre, 35 stall, 100 x 200 indoor arena, heated track area equine facility with beautifully decorated psychological offices. You do not have to be a certified equine therapist, but you must have an extensive background in working with horses and be licensed in the state of Michigan as a limited or fully licensed social worker, counselor, psychologist or family and marriage therapist.

We strive for clinicians who come from diverse perspectives with the common thread of achieving positive outcomes for clients. Applicant must have at least a master’s level education and a current state limited or full license in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy. Although many insurance panels are closed, clinicians can still be credentialed with Life Journey as we have special relationships with most major insurance companies including BCBS, BCN, Priority Health, Cigna, Aetna, and many others with closed panels. Our facilities are available 24/7 for therapy so a variety of work schedules are possible. Life Journey is in search of full-time salaried employees. We will consider hiring part-time therapists who are able to commit to a 15 client per week minimum.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Limited or full licensure in the State of Michigan as a Psychologist (LP), Limited Licensed Psychologist (DLLP or TLLP, LLP), Social Worker (LLMSW or LMSW), Counselor (LLPC, LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LLMFT or LMFT)
• At least a Master’s level licensure
• Relationship and solution focused
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Technologically savvy
• A person who is in awe of life and humbled to serve others
