The Opportunity:
Role: Systems Test Engineering - Engineer
UST Global® team is looking for Systems Test Engineer to work on a wireless communication system. You will be part of multi-discipline team (Software Development, System Design, Customer Support, ASIC Design, RF Circuits and Hardware Design, etc.) to integrate, test and commercialize client products.

- In Wireless R&D (WR&D), we are working on building the cutting-edge end-to-end prototype systems for 5G NR Sub6/mmW and WLAN. These prototype systems focus on proof of concept and on key feature development in the 5G and WLAN areas. The candidate will be contributing to key research and development topics in mobile wireless and WLAN. They will be working with world class engineering teams to shape the future of wireless communication.
- More specifically, SI&T team members interact closely with Systems engineers, Software/Hardware developers and RF engineers to test and evaluate the end-to-end prototypes. This includes defining testing goals, writing test plans, executing tests, trouble shooting and performing detailed post processing analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Prime responsibilities will be System integration and test of L1, L2 and L3 layers.
- Candidate must have great interest in new technologies and willing to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required and must be able to work well with others in a technical environment.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Background in Wireless communication, solid understanding of OFDM and Digital communication systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good understanding of WLAN protocol and WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards is highly desired.
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi PHY and MAC layer.
- Knowledge of LTE PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC protocols.
- Knowledge of IP, UDP, TCP, HTTP protocols and analysis tools such as Wireshark
- Experience with test equipment such as Channel emulator, Spectrum analyzers, Wi-Fi Analyzer and Signal generators.
- Strong fundamentals in Communications Theory is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment.
- Programming skills in Python and Matlab is preferred.
