TEST SOCKET DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Accountable for leading and performing development work with a team responsible for defining, building, validating, and deploying test sockets used in system level test equipment, burn-in equipment, and semiconductor/platform validation setups/tools.


SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Handles and drives a team responsible for meeting test socket on-time-delivery and first-time-right goals without compromising product yields and planned capacity
  • Develops and deploys validated, production-worthy test sockets
  • Works closely with internal teams to budget for, procure, and track delivery of test sockets
  • Defines and refines developmental and operational processes to improve execution and efficiency
  • Proactively collaborate with internal customers and external test facilities to establish test socket requirements and ensure alignment to electrical, thermal, and manufacturing specifications
  • Collaborates on a technology roadmap to support future product functional and performance requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experienced with developing and validating test sockets for semiconductor products
  • Knowledgeable in FEA, geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing, and thermal and high speed I/O signal integrity analysis
  • Experienced with integrating test sockets with other test hardware components
  • Experienced with leading technical employees
  • Experienced with working with global teams
  • Ability to direct a technical team, lead technical discussions, and handle execution
  • Experienced with modern computer hardware architecture
  • Strong communication skills at both the technical and executive levels, including the ability to create and discuss technical documentation and presentations

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiar with system level test hardware (microprocessor, graphics, or other)
  • Familiar with burn-in test hardware and methodologies (microprocessor, graphics, or other)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A technology related bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree
  • At least 10 years of experience in test and/or product engineering
  • Management Experience
