Location: Kansas/Nebraska/Oklahoma

Position Summary
The Territory Account Manager’s primary responsibility will be encouraging the adoption of the Talis One rapid point-of-care PCR system by calling on healthcare providers with an emphasis on primary care, family practice, urgent care, OB/GYN, health departments, hospitals, or elder care call points. The Territory Account Manager must be adept and proficient navigating the clinic setting and successful in gaining commitment from multiple key stakeholders such as the provider, administrator and/or clinical/hospital staff. To be successful in this role, candidates will need to possess the ability to engage the customer at a technical level to adequately differentiate our product versus other similar technologies in the market, while also being able to establish rapport with the office and its key personnel. Territory Account Managers will be able to sell technically as well as relationally depending on the stakeholder’s profile. The ability to close is as essential as the ability to retain the customer in order to introduce/sell future product lines. Due to the entrepreneurial nature of the organization, the Territory Account Manager must be adaptable, flexible, results-oriented, comfortable with a dynamic work environment, tenacious, team-oriented and accustomed to covering an expansive territory. The successful Territory Account Manager will also need to work collaboratively in conjunction with the Enterprise Sales Team as well as internal business partners like the Customer Success Team. Larger deals such as those in the employer, health system or retail segment will demand a top-down, bottom-up approach in order to accelerate the sales cycle. The Territory Account Manager will conduct business in an ethical and compliant manner and will adhere to relevant company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities/Requirements
- Work consultatively with both internal and external customers in order to highlight the competitive advantages that Talis offers compared to other point-of-care testing options.
- Engage customers in multiple settings to meet the unprecedented demand for fast, high-quality and reliable COVID testing at the point of care.
- Document each prospective customer visit in a detailed, comprehensive manner using the CRM tool provided to include contact info for key personnel.
- Leverage pre-existing relationships with customers in multiple segments in order to scale the business and drive volume as expediently as possible.
- Be responsive and nimble when dealing with the demands of both internal and external customers.
- Must provide proof of track record of sales excellence along with sales ranking.
- Must be adaptable, willing to pivot based on business needs and market dynamics.
- Overnight travel may vary but candidate should be willing to travel 25-50%.
Education, Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years sales experience and a proven track record of superior sales performance
- Relevant experience in diagnostics, medical device or equipment
- Self-motivated and independent problem solving
- Goal oriented, results driven
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Works both autonomously & collaboratively with colleagues to close new sales
- Networking skills to grow the business
- Demonstrated excellent time management and organizational skills
- Prior experience selling to primary care, OB/GYN, urgent care, nursing home/ALFs (hospitals are a plus)
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and CRM tool
