Temporary Payroll Clerk

Since 1891, Union Tank Car Company, along with its Canadian affiliate Procor, has provided high-quality equipment and comprehensive tank car services to our customers throughout North America. Union Tank Car Company is currently looking for a Temporary Payroll Clerk to join our growing team. This position will be based out of our Marion, OH location. The assignment will last for approximately 30 days beginning August 30, 2021. The work hours are Monday-Friday, 7am- 3:30 pm with room for flexibility. Responsibilities:

• Enter daily payroll for 250+ employees.
• Update employee payroll information as needed.
• Answer questions regarding weekly payroll from employees.
• Assist and perform other general clerical work as needed.

Experience/Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent
• Previous payroll and/or office support experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of payroll software is beneficial. Ability to learn new systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a high degree of professional judgment, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
