The Teller position includes working with customers to meet their financial services needs through processing transactions and suggesting new products or services. The successful individual will have demonstrated the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with customers, as well as process financial transactions quickly and accurately. Professional appearance and dress required for this highly visible position
Essential Responsibilities:
- Achieve individual and branch sales goals by promoting and cross-selling bank products.
- Complete customer transactions accurately and timely.
- Identify solutions in support of customer needs.
- Research account information for customer inquiries.
- Maintain and enhance customer account relationships by providing excellent customer service
- Observe all security/internal controls and protect the bank against criminal and fraudulent activities.
- Accurate balancing within established time frames.
Credentials, Experience and Skills:
- Bilingual Spanish/English required.
- Entry-level to two years’ work experience, preferably in a financial institution or other relevant organization
- Strong commitment to our mission – creating ownership and economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities.
- Preference for working in organizations that place priority on teamwork and collaboration.
- Sensitivity to issues of low-wealth borrowers and a desire to work in a racially and socially diverse organization.
- Well-organized self-starter with strong communication, computer and customer service skills.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent); additional education a plus
Physical Requirements:
Frequently requires use of manual dexterity and repetitive motions, primarily with the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to occasionally lift and exert force of up to 40 pounds
