GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of the Front Desk Receptionist is to attend to customers and deal with inquiries on the phone and face to face. It is also the purpose of this position to supply information regarding the company to the general public, clients and customers over the phone and in person.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- The ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others with a commitment to a workplace of dignity and respect in compliance with equal opportunity standards and regulations.• The ability to accept direction and constructive criticism from supervisors and managers, in compliance with the Company s' policies and procedures
- Answer and address incoming phone calls in a timely and polite manner using a clear speaking voice
- Greet and direct customers/guests entering the store
- Take and relay messages to the appropriate persons
- Provide general administrative and clerical support
- Finalize accessory invoices using company software
- Maintain daily cash drawer
Secondary Duties & Responsibilities
- Basic cashiering duties to assist sales staff with accessories
- Tidy and maintain the reception area
- Maintain inventory of office supplies
- Assist with customer pick ups
- Call customers to confirm deliveries
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment of a receptionist consists of sitting for long periods of time at a desk in an office setting while answering phones and working on a computer.
