What You’ll Do:
Level D Technicians are responsible for diagnosing truck problems and performing truck repairs. Technicians create repair plans and fill out parts requisitions for needed parts. They are also responsible for tagging all warranty parts that are replaced and for turning in parts with core value. Technicians must also communicate updates to their Foreman daily and must maintain toolboxes organized and workstations clean and safe. Level D Technicians perform tasks and possess skills noted below and have efficiency ratings of 75% or above.

Performs P.M. Services- Performs 121 braking system testing
- Works on air leaks
- Works on air brake components
- Works on wheel seals & bearings
- Performs clutches-manual adjusts
- Performs drivelines
- Works on transmissions repair and replacement
- Navigates internet
- Works on warranty procedures
- Performs battery diagnosis and repair and replacement
Qualifications
Starting technician with at least nine months experience- Or top 10% of technical school class
- Performs at 75% efficiency or better
- Mechanical aptitude
- Positive attitude
- Motivated
Training and Certification Requirements
Freightliner Heavy Duty Trucks Systems Specialist Certification
