Technician III - Guide Catheters

Medtronic’s Interventional Vascular & Structural Heart (IV&SH) business – Danvers, MA location, is looking for a Technician III that will provide support for Danvers Guide Catheters Value Stream. A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform inspection tasks involving the use of a wide variety of test instruments and equipment to measure the values and record functional operation and/or acceptance of components.
  • Work with hydraulics & pneumatic equipment, industrial controls and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Use predetermined methods, operations, setups with prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products.
  • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operate related equipment; conduct tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Perform calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
  • Support the team in the development of new measurement/testing techniques, test methods, and test method validations to support new product development and subsequent validations.
  • Provide details and communicated updates as required to related engineer and team members. Carry out tasks within projects to meet agreed upon timelines.
  • Maintain GMP and GDP compliance within the area.
  • Demonstrate a record of excellent performance in meeting high standards of quality, quantity, and dependability (attendance and punctuality).
  • Participate in continuous learning and problem solving.
  • Lift light weight material continuously (5-25 lbs) and move or lift average weight material frequently (30 lbs.)

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Basic understanding of plastic extrusion processing.
  • Previous medical device experience
  • Experience with GMP and GDP requirements
  • Knowledge of the English and Metric measuring systems with the ability to perform mathematical conversions to each
  • Technical Writing Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite and Minitab

  • Ability to work overtime as required
