Manufacturing Technician
Location: Boise, Idaho

As a Manufacturing Technician (MT) you are responsible for cycle time reduction by facilitating product movement, keeping lot mean time at step (MTAS) low and supporting advanced engineering tasks. The area MT is the first responder on area inefficiencies, i.e. lots not tracking/staging, data not downloading, tool lockups, and lot processed verification. The MT utilizes production planning reports to review historical workstation performance and identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Monitors status of key bottlenecks and priority workstations throughout shift to ensure they are running efficiently
Ensures task status is being updated and all meaningful lot information is commented and passed down to the next shift
Executes to shift game plan as developed by the shift supervisor
Calls out area issues (line down, no redundancy, extended tool down, no support, etc.) that are impacting overall fab performance to management and key stakeholders and assists with resolution
Analyzes area business processes and bring proposals to table on improvements
Facilitates the resolution of scheduling issues and area wide automation issues
Utilizes and works to improve Remote Operations Center (ROC) monitoring tools
Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with safety policies
Improves area safety behaviors and processes for the work environment
Contributes to continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts
Participates in or leads projects and teams to improve performance of the fab and process areas
Monitors and optimizes priority lots coming to the area by removing roadblocks and escalates issues to lot owners
Qualifications:
Advanced PC skills with extensive knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint
Ability to effectively type a minimum of 40 words per minute
The willingness and ability to work any shift, which includes weekends, nights, and holidays
Intermediate understanding of semiconductor production operations concepts
The willingness to work overtime as needed or required
The ability to work in a cleanroom or an electro-static discharge (ESD) sensitive environment
Advanced data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills
Ability to troubleshoot intermediate problems and identify and resolve root causes
Ability to follow basic procedures and work with minimal supervision
Intermediate understanding and experience with programming languages
Education Requirements:
Required: Two-year Associates Degree or higher
Preferred: 1-year experience in Production/Manufacturing
Preferred Degrees: Supply Chain Management, Operation Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree. Related degrees may also include Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and General Business
