Your Opportunity:

As an experienced Technical Trainer, Writer, and Illustrator within the R&D Team of KEYper Systems and reporting to the R&D Manager, you will maintain and develop both internal and external documentation materials as well as work on development tasks involving both new and existing products.

You will maintain and extend our existing range of technical documentation and training materials as well as play a pivotal role in delivering training courses on these products. We are looking for a talented, energetic team member with integrity and a desire to succeed in shaping our solutions for the future.


It will be your mission to:

  • Write and maintain product support documentation for customers and internal staff
  • Run training sessions and presentations for both internal and external customers
  • Attend planning/briefing meetings
  • Collaborate with developers and managers to clarify technical issues
  • Liaise with subject matter experts including R&D and marketing specialists
  • Organize information according to the user's needs
  • Generate and prepare illustrations and/or graphics
  • Index and cataloguing material
  • Work on, manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Create work schedules
  • Publicize documents into and outside the business
  • Create videos or other multimedia content for customers and staff
  • Keep up to date with developments and enhancements in the products
  • Any other duties required to assist in supporting the achievement of company objectives

Essential skills and experience:

  • Computer Literacy with the following software suites:
    • Microsoft Office and Adobe products such as InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Help Authoring Tool software such as RoboHelp
  • CAD software such as Inventor/Solidworks or other similar software
  • Experience with video production and associated software
  • Experience/Interest in graphic/product design as it relates to the PDLC and beyond
  • Previous training/education experience including LMS experience
  • Management of workload and issue lifecycle with tools such as JIRA.

Functional Competencies:

  • Able to work unsupervised ensuring work remains aligned with project plans and updates
  • Ability to work across several projects simultaneously without loss of efficiency or productivity
  • Ability to solve technical problems on own initiative once trained, tempered with a willingness to seek expert assistance when required.
  • Ability to react quickly and appropriately to changing priorities and unexpected demands
  • Flexibility and adaptability in tackling new tasks
