Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Credit Policy, the Technical Writer is responsible for gathering, composing an editing process information into clear, concise, readable documents for policies, procedures and job aides to support the mortgage division at ICG.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Credit Policy, the Technical Writer is responsible for gathering, composing an editing process information into clear, concise, readable documents for policies, procedures and job aides to support the mortgage division at ICG.
- Collaborate with necessary stakeholders to have all procedures, documents, and processes created, reviewed, revised, edited, and finalized for publication for Company use
- Creates/updates process maps in conformance with provided standards
- Develops, updates, and maintains the online documents using specialized software and internally developed processes
- Manages multiple writing assignments to meet target publication dates
- Ensures the method, consistency, style and terminology meet defined corporate standards and requirements
- Gather, assess and confirm interpretation of new and/or changing business practices.
- Performs annual audit of P&P documents, ensuring proper change controls/management processes and approval levels.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Education/Work Experience:
- Four year degree from an accredited University in Journalism, English or Communications, or equivalent related business experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in technical writing, software documentation and editing experience
- Residential mortgage experience preferred
- Ability to produce high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment
- Strong writing, grammar, punctuation and editing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to integrate seamlessly in diverse teams, and effectively communicate and establish strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders of all levels of seniority and background
- Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities & projects with competing priorities and deadlines
- Mortgage and consumer lending experience working in a variety of positions
- Previous experience writing policies and procedures
- Critical thinking and analysis skills
- Project management experience helpful
- Knowledge of best practices in writing and maintaining policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio and MS Teams
- Experience with Encompass preferred
- Ability to sit/stand at a desk and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Travel to corporate office/meetings as needed < 10%
