Job Description

The Technical Support Specialist, Report Designer at MEDITECH trains and educates customers on our Report Designer tool and assists with various reports for customers. As a member of our Client Services team, your job would involve:


  • Answering incoming queries from customers

  • Helping new and migration customers during the implementation process to determine what reports are needed for Go-LIVE

  • Performing ongoing education with existing customers via the telephone, in person training or online seminars

  • Ensuring all education follows Best Practices to achieve optimal workflow

  • Helping customers design and create their system

  • Reading and understanding data structures to assist in finding data needed for custom reporting

  • Reviewing how and where data is stored internally within the applications

  • Viewing standard reports and procedures to assist in finding how data is populated or compiled on standard screens throughout the system

  • Reviewing custom code and crash screens to determine issues within custom reports

  • Troubleshooting, researching, and solving software problems and customer issues

  • Taking requests for system enhancements or modifications

  • Explaining new software updates and changes to customers and advising on proper system setup

  • Updating documentation, participating in group projects and training coworkers

  • Organizing, planning, and completing projects efficiently and in accordance with quality standards

  • Assisting with interpreting and providing solutions/compliance to regulatory events

  • Assisting with quality assurance

  • Writing, editing, and updating educational materials to promote MEDITECH’s products, their latest features, and benefits

  • Prioritizing, researching, and recognizing priority event concerns

  • Traveling 10-15% of the time, anywhere within the United States and Canada

What You Should Have
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree with coursework in a computer programming-related field (i.e., Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering), or background in economics, music theory or equivalent

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong technical aptitude

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to foster strong, positive relationships
