Disk Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking a Technical Recruiter/HR Assistant to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full Time (Regular) position located in Lexington Park, MD 20653. Teleworking will be allowed, but the selected candidate will need to be in our office ~1-2 days per month.
Where Technology, Innovation, and Collaboration come together. The qualified applicant will lead our talent acquisition efforts and support other Human Resource (HR) initiatives, helping to shape a small but growing Information Technology (IT) services firm.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and collaborate with hiring managers on recruiting needs.
- Create, manage, and track job requisitions and associated measures and metrics.
- Post, manage and track job postings on designated job boards, career sites, and recruiting services.
- Proactively source and contact qualified candidates.
- Coordinate with third-party recruiting firms on candidate sourcing.
- Pre-screen and enthusiastically engage job applicants.
- Plan and coordinate candidate interviews with hiring managers and conduct associated follow-up.
- Continuously develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees to find qualified candidates.
- Coordinate and attend job fairs, take the lead in college recruiting and veteran hiring initiatives.
- Assist with the on-boarding of new employees including initial data entry and assisting with orientations.
- Assist in the development of recruiting and on-boarding policy, procedures, and related documentation.
- Research and recommend new sources, sites, and methods for recruiting.
- Identify improvements to the company careers website to attract talent.
- Execute timely follow-up communication with hiring managers, stakeholders, and candidates.
- Assist with other HR initiatives/projects as needed.
To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:
- High School diploma is required.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year recent hands-on recruiting experience with demonstrated results is required.

- Experience with job posting and candidate sourcing using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and Monster.
- Basic understanding of talent requirements in various IT related positions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively engage with people over phone and in person.
- Experience with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- AIRS Certified Internet Recruiter.
- Experience engaging with social media tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook for recruiting purposes.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Experience coordinating and conducting virtual meetings/interviews using MS Teams.
- Experience managing content using SharePoint.
- Experience or familiarization with AAP/EEO requirements and best practices.
