Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM CIO organization is seeking an Application Technical owner within the QTC central functions tribe. Overall, the Technical Owner is responsible for ensuring availability of services for, iERP, one of the most financially significant/SOX applications in the CIO. Integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (iERP) is an enterprise-wide suite of SAP, IBM, and third-party components that provides an end-to-end order fulfillment and accounting solution for hardware, software, and services. iERP is the ledger of record and revenue recognition system for IBM.

In this role you will:

  • Be the Technical Owner supporting a highly complex enterprise SAP deployment.
  • Audit and compliance responsibilities
  • Investigating and responding to all portfolio requests and questions
  • Participate in the planning of disaster recovery tests
  • Interface to the Guardium monitoring team
  • Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process
  • Ensure changes are reviewed, approved, and closed appropriately
  • Consolidate and present monthly infrastructure metrics
  • Leverage your technical knowledge to facilitate strategic conversations on the SAP deployment and the associated supported business processes with Product Owners and other stakeholders.
  • Bridge the desires of the customer and the capabilities of the technology.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, innovation/automation, and increasing delivery velocity.
  • Analyze impacts and balance proposed solutions across the business to propose and support solutions to business and technical challenges.
  • Focus on the elements required to manage all aspects of business requirements through infrastructure deployments.
  • Demonstrate organizational and communication skills, especially with management and executives.
  • Bring a passionate work ethic, and strong eagerness to learn.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Enterprise Technical and Program Management
  • Working technical knowledge of SAP
  • Exposure to dependency management, change management, and problem management.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience in working in an Agile environment and in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, Agile metrics
  • Application business controls compliance, ASCA and SOX
  • Application availability, performance and monitoring experience
