The DTLA location of WATG is hiring a Technical Landscape Architect. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with days in the office and work from home days.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Technical Landscape Architect assists in the development of the project design, site plans, construction detailing, specifications, production of presentation drawings, sketches and assists in solving design complexities. They will collaborate in a team environment relating to a variety of challenging resort, residential, urban planning and design projects. This individual must demonstrate creativity, strong graphics, and good design judgment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in landscape architecture, or related field required. 10+ years experience in a professional service firm. Experience with developing various plans (from concept to detailed plans ) at different scales. Registered professional in Planning or Landscape Architecture preferred. Excellent design, visualization, creative and innovative landscape (hand) graphic and digital graphic skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Revit and Sketch-Up are required. Proficiency in and Rhino is preferred. Domestic and international travel is required.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Under minimal supervision provides design, graphic, and production support on all phases of a project.
- Completes design sketches, presentation drawings, working drawings, diagrams, schedules and other computer generated or hand drawn documents as required by the project.
- Will perform other project and duties as assigned by the Manager/Director.
