The position is for a Software Engineer/Technology Manager to provide leadership and direction in support of key Wealth and Investment Management technologies. This management position will have direct reports comprising of Software Engineers and Technical Business Analysts that are geographically distributed. This position requires a driven individual to work with our vendors, product owners and project managers to lead technical solutions for our business partners. The candidate will be required to communicate and interact with senior Technical and Business leaders. This role requires leadership in changing processes and requirements to meet changing technologies and demand, while reducing complexity of the software portfolio and timely retirement of aging applications and versions.
This role will deliver efforts ranging from Business As Usual (small enhancements) to strategic Initiatives with budgets of 1MM+. This role requires a clear understanding of the architecture of the enterprise environment with knowledge of Agile and Software Delivery Lifecycle in order to meet release timelines. Strong knowledge of Enterprise Security Application Practices is preferred.
This position manages the day-to-day health, responsiveness of in-house, and vendor systems to support Wealth Investment Management professionals. The position will lead the team in adhering to SLAs and other operational metrics while maintaining stability of the environment. The position requires close collaboration with many centers of excellence such as Change Management Services teams, Platform Engineering team, and Data Management teams. The position’s activities including leading Business Continuity Planning (BCP) application participation, SDLC & ERM activities, technical refreshes, critical surveys, analysis, platform releases, patching, vulnerabilities, and system management support for Wells Fargo Technology mandates. This position also supports critical safety and soundness deliverables.
The candidate must possess technology industry experience, enterprise application delivery, as well as knowledge of business and technology processes and controls. Ability to effectively manage resources and drive efficiencies and innovation.

Required Qualifications
10+ years of information technology experience- 5+ years of technology engineering experience
- 4+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
Desired Qualifications
A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology- 3+ years of investment banking experience
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Ability to negotiate and facilitate issue resolution
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- 6+ years of experience managing large scale initiatives and initiative programs
- Experience managing geographically diverse teams including both multiple domestic and off-shore locations
Other Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Test driven development & automation - JUNIT, Selenium, Cypress
- Experience with Agile/Scrum based methodologies and best practices
- Stakeholder management and experience working with senior technology and business partners
