We are currently seeking a Technical Business Development Manager in our B2B Information Display Specifier outreach team. Contributes to the sales efforts of Information Display division products and services, by utilizing their business development skills and technical knowledge as part of a team responsible for; fostering relationships with assigned solution influencers or “Specifiers” (consultants, architects, engineers, designers), identifying and tracking projects, and influencing design efforts to secure LG product spec-in. This is a Field/Home Office based role. We can consider anyone living within close proximity of major cities within these states (New York, New Jersey, California).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities;
- Manage Specifier relationships within assigned territory and/or category
- Contribute to team and program strategy and account planning
- Identify, prioritize and foster new Specifier relationships (consultants, architects, designers)
- Drive proactive/strategic activities to engage with Specifiers
- Visit Specifiers in-person at their place of business and/or industry events
- Participate in and leverage industry associations (AVIXA, AIA, NSCA, etc)
- Utilize LG Marketing/Salesforce for proactive communication strategy
- Collaborate with LG sales & Technical Sales to support spec-in efforts
- Log, track, and report on activity as requested (e.g. Salesforce)
- Gather market intelligence and trends from Specifiers and share internally
- Participate in product, market, and solution planning sessions as needed
- Lead special task teams and/or business development projects as needed
- Travel as needed. Domestic (up to 75%). International (occasional).
Where applicable:
- Leverage LG Academy to educate Specifiers on LG technology/products
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from Specifiers
- Identify and track new Specifier projects and push to influence designs
- Leverage Solution Engineering team for custom solution ideas/creation
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (business or technical subject) or relevant work experience, minimum 8 years of technology solution sales or business development experience (IT or Information Display industry preferred)
- Knowledge of various vertical market solutions and applications for digital displays and/or related audiovisual/IT technologies. Direct-view LED knowledge a plus.
- Minimum 4 years demonstrated experience partnering with the Consultant, Architect, Engineer and designer community (existing relationships a plus)
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to travel 75% throughout the U.S
- Strong understanding of project and product specifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (webOS a plus).
- CTS certification preferred. Crestron and other technology certifications a plus.
- Fluent in English.
