Description

Position Summary:

SAIC is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our team supporting a major state & local government customer. The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for working with our internal development team as well as the customer to define specific business requirements for development requests. The ideal candidate must also serve as a backup to all position responsibilities using legacy technology and implement capabilities throughout the enterprise for a large infrastructure support program.

Essential duties of this position include:
  • Work with the internal development team and the customer to define specific requirements on development requests
  • Knowledge of development lifecycle
  • Communicate effectively by using dashboards, power points, reports.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow
  • Execute a holistic view across the Service Management disciplines

The Service Mapping Analyst stays abreast of new features and functionality, playing a key role in driving continual service improvement. You will have the opportunity to solve complex problems, design user-friendly interfaces, and optimize processes through automation. This position offers the chance to improve the speed, efficiency, and reporting capability of IT services. The Service Mapping Analyst will also play a key role in representing current and future capabilities of supporting ITSM tools, and contributing to long-term strategy as well as tactical activities leading to the continual improvement of the environment to meet objectives.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors and four (4) years or more of related experience; Masters and two (2) years related experience. May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • ITIL certification preferred (Foundation or above)
  • Strong skills with: MS Office products and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Understanding of ServiceNow functionality

Desired Background / Experience

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, capable of working independently and in small groups
  • Ability to lead / assist with formulation and definition of solution scope and objectives while working with a team of reporting developers / analysts on functional requirements and specifications.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for automation, orchestration and development of ServiceNow requirements
  • Facilitates the negotiation of the scope of the configuration management process in collaboration with process owners and IT business stakeholders.
  • Works with other process owners to ensure an integrated approach to the design, implementation, and coordination of interfaces between configuration management and other service management processes. (Change, Release, Incident, and Knowledge).
  • Ensures changes to the configuration management processes are properly approved and communicated.



Target salary range: $85,001 - $95,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
