Job Description
The Technical Accreditation Specialist will effectively and efficiently coordinate internal technical accreditation review functions in the certification sector for SGS North America. They will ensure the verification of the service(s) delivered for the respective standard meets specified requirements. They will also handle the coordination of the technical review process. The incumbent will be an integral part of the SGS Technical team by providing support to manage SGS audit programs for various ISO 9001 standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up, maintain, and assist in the processing of all Aerospace audit documentation up to issuing client certificates in the OASIS Database
- Assist in generating proposal work sheets which determine audit duration for Initial, Renewal and Surveillance audits for certified clients
- Assist the Aerospace Product Manager with special/on-going projects
- Be the key interface with the Accreditation Body
- Assist in managing Witness Audits and updating the Accreditation Body web site information
- Manage and maintain various required forms to support technical activities leading up to and during accreditation audits.
- Maintain control of and updates to the technical documents control system which includes uploading new or revised internal documents to meet requirements
- Maintain worksheets for Non-conformity Analysis for internal audits for several countries that report to the USA office
- Maintain the technical SharePoint database with competency approvals for internal staff
- Assist other technical team Product Managers with special projects
- Purchase current external Standards to support the business.
- Manage customer expectations and complaints
- Developing and proposing process efficiencies
- Creative initiatives related to planning scheduling and follow ups to the audit program
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferred
- 3 - 5 years of technical experience in an ISO standards environment
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills; the ability to create charts and graphs efficiently
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving
- Ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines for various projects
- Initiative to seek new solutions and new ways of doing things with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Works well under pressure.
- Extended hours may be required from time to time.
- Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
