A Brief Summary of This Position:

You will be responsible for sourcing talent for Valmont career opportunities with a focus on IT and technical roles. Our ideal candidate will have recruitment experience and a working knowledge of the needs of a global, world-class IT department. This role will act as our IT/Tech SME and will identify emerging and best-in-class talent. **Remote candidates may be considered for this opportunity.**

Essential Functions:

  • This individual contributor role will have the autonomy to drive their career success in a HYBRID office/home environment
  • Attend community and school job fair events to build Valmont's talent pipeline
  • Builds solid relationships with our hiring teams and serve as an advisor during the entire recruitment process
  • Act as liaison with employment/recruitment agency partners
  • Proactively networks and leverages technology to recruit from passive candidate sources
  • Manage the entire candidate lifecycle from application to hire and everything in between, ensuring an outstanding candidate experience
  • Completes weekly report on employment activity
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, social media, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process
  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals

Other Important Details about the Role:

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or Associate’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Three years of experience in a recruitment role involving sourcing to offer acceptance
  • Three years of experience and working knowledge of HRIS and ATS tools and technology
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends to facilitate recruiting events
  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner effectively with client groups
  • Ability to leverage technology to recruit and build relationships to build robust pipelines
  • Experience partnering and influencing hiring managers and executives throughout the recruiting cycle
  • Able to define and communicate clear expectations and provide progress updates to hiring managers, candidates and other team members
  • High focus on candidate experience, superior negotiation and closing skills, and comfort navigating ambiguity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly and concisely present information to Company management

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
  • A professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP
  • Experience recruiting for IT or tech talent
  • Proven knowledge of federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance
