This is an exciting opportunity for a junior level candidate to join Technology & Operations to support our people, talent and culture strategy. This role sits within the Technology & Operations COO team, a function central to running one of the largest businesses at BlackRock. The ideal candidate will help communicate and coordinate employee experience initiatives globally.
You will be joining a team that leads internal communications and employee engagement efforts, and supports strategic business and talent initiatives for the global Technology & Operations organization. Location: Atlanta, GA or Wilmington, DE. Our teams are currently working remote through at least March 2021. We expect our future to be a hybrid office/work from home mix.
What you will be doing:
Support the delivery of learning initiatives to ensure a consistent development experience for Technology & Operations employees. This may include partnering with subject matter experts to build learning content for our new hires, graduate analysts and people managers.
Partner with our HR team to understand and use the firm’s learning management system to develop learning content specific to Technology & Operations’ training needs.
Help communicate firmwide technology changes that impact the employee experience.
Handle internal communication platforms and develop / maintain content strategy for employee resource hubs.
Analyze metrics and compile regular reporting to measure employee engagement, collect feedback and demonstrate progress as a result of our employee experience strategy.
Work with Tech & Ops leaders to evaluate employee opinion survey results, identifying trends and helping to execute on target areas of focus.
Work with our Corporate Communications team to align our communication strategy and use of channels with the firm’s.
Support the COO team in maintaining content and employee resources that are key to helping staff and internal partners understand our business
What we are looking for:
2 years of professional experience
Passion for organizational talent and culture
A student of technology – proficient in MS 365 applications
Understanding of and ability to learn internal communications software e.g., Poppulo
Proven record of building presentations and developing content
Familiarity with learning platforms and practices
Organized with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to balance multiple projects
Experience figuring out measurement and effectiveness of initiatives
Some experience with data visualization tools e.g., Tableau/Power BI
Strong collaborator with the ability to work cross-functionally in a virtual environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to present and adopt communication style as needed
A great teammate and relationship builder
