What does a Marketing Account Specialist really do? Think of yourself as someone who will consult, educate, and support small to medium-sized businesses in revenue growth through digital marketing, so not everyone can qualify for this role. As a Marketing Account Specialist, you will lead sales calls, business reviews, and recurring check-ins. You will build custom sales presentations by preparing key data, historical findings, and relevant research. You will meet or exceed revenue and customer acquisition targets. You will contribute to inside sales lead generation, qualification, and sales funnel processes. You will command & convey key product knowledge to clients with accurate detail and be a champion for client needs with internal stakeholders. You will onboard new advertisers (live demos, account setup, etc). You will also help oversee ad approvals and manage the inbound support queue.

Requirements:
What is it we’re looking for? Well since this is a Marketing Account Specialist we need someone with at least 2 - 4 years of B2B sales, marketing, and/or online advertising experience. What else? We also need someone with a bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing or four years of B2B sales/online advertising consulting experience in lieu of a degree.
Now let’s get technical. We’re looking for someone who has client-facing account management experience - ideally managing 25-50 clients vs 2-3. Someone who has experience driving sales within an ad organization has expertise in the digital or audio ads landscape, and a solid understanding of online advertising. Someone who has excellent client service and presentational skills and working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint. Someone who has excellent verbal and written communication skills. You are adept at expressing your stakeholders’ needs, and your own, to others.
What else? Well, we prefer someone who has deep knowledge of self-serve online ad platforms (FB, Goog, Snap). Someone who has a technical background and has experience with DFP, DFA, Salesforce CRM, and an aptitude for learning analytical tools like SQL.
