Overview: Founded in 1971, Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) remains the nation’s largest non-profit dialysis provider. Each position within DCI, from billers to administrators to nursing staff, contributes toward the goal of providing excellent patient care.
The Billing Department Team Leader provides continuous support and education to your team in regards to collections, adjustments, appeals, remittance review, etc. This will include review and working accounts alongside team member as well as reviewing adjustments and check requests for approval. Communication of account details, payer issues, and other ongoing concerns affecting collections to both management and area operations directors is required.Responsibilities:

The Billing Department Team Leader provides continuous support and education to your team in regards to collections, adjustments, appeals, remittance review, etc. This will include review and working accounts alongside team member as well as reviewing adjustments and check requests for approval. Communication of account details, payer issues, and other ongoing concerns affecting collections to both management and area operations directors is required.Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 4-8 individuals
- Reviews and aproves team adjustments monthly
- Provides support and education for team members
- Provides support for account and claims follow up for problem payers, etc.
- Holds monthly accounts receivable meetins with Area Operations Director and clinical staff
- Collects and prepares data for both internal and external audits
- Maintains electronic files per compliance retention policy
- Assist at month end with closing clinics by reconciling treatment totals, reviewing monthly charges, resolving discrepancies, and reviewing other monthly reports.
- Correct and research reconciling items from previous accounting periods
- Assist in staff evaluations of team members
High school diploma or GED equivalent- Four year of experience in a similar field or an equivelant combination of education and experience
