Essential Functions and Objectives:
The Long Term Substitute Teacher teaches a diverse school student population grade level standards based curriculum in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies and Personal Development. Monitors, supervises, coordinates and enforces rules of conduct and behavior of assigned students, and reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy. Observes, evaluates, reports and records students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. Communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.
Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications:
Must possess a current Colorado Teacher License with appropriate endorsement.
Teaches diverse elementary school students grade level standards based curriculum in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies and Personal Development.

Holm Elementary School provides a caring community where children are valued. Presently we serve students from Early Childhood Education through fifth grade. Our curriculum focuses on literacy instruction, which includes daily reading of high quality literature, small group and individual instruction and specific skills development. There is also a school-wide math instructional program with a curricular emphasis on concepts, rather than just computational strategies. We support second language learners in all grades. Our diverse curriculum includes vocal music, visual arts, physical education, and a Resource Teacher to support gifted and talented education.
