We are looking to add 1-2 team members who are eager to grow with us! Immediate, seasonal openings at a growing accounting services firm looking for experienced accountant or bookkeeper with tax preparation experience. We are searching for technically proficient candidates who have experience with QuickBooks, Excel, general accounting knowledge (GAAP), and are passionate about assisting our clients during tax season to maximize their return. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who possesses exceptional skills specifically in tax preparation for small businesses. You will have several assigned client accounts and will need to process them in excellence and within tax deadlines. You will access financial statements that may be managed internally by the company or by our firm. Other accounting tasks may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Be an Enrolled Agent with the IRS, or a Licensed CPA (MA, NH, ME)
Min. of 3 Years’ Experience in Bookkeeping and Tax Preparation
Min. 3 Years’ Experience Using QuickBooks (both Desktop & Online)
Min. 3 Years’ Experience using Excel
Detail oriented
Good time management and organization skills
Computer savvy
Team Player
Proven track record with references for past years tax filing experience
Requirements:
Dedicated and quiet office space within home to work from with:
Reliable Computer with Microsoft Office 365 (word, excel, etc.)
Double monitor set-up
Reliable Phone
Fast and Reliable Internet
Capability to travel to Southern NH for in-person office hours and staff meetings
Remote hours available up to 2 days/week (M-F 7am-6pm)
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Be familiar with current tax laws (including: Federal, and the states of NH, MA, ME).
Learn the latest tax laws and filing practices (including: Federal, and the states of NH, MA, ME).
Prepare Individual, Schedule C, and various types of Business returns (1065, 1120s, etc.).
Completing and filing tax documents with appropriate agencies, like the IRS, state and local government entities.
Acting as a representative for clients with applicable agencies as required.
Reviewing all financial statements completed by the bookkeeping staff for use in filing returns.
Other Duties May Include:
Prepare supporting workpapers for financial statements.
Prepare Compiled financial statements, on cash-basis, accrual-basis, tax- basis or GAAP, based on client’s accounting method.
Research accounts payable and accounts receivable issues as needed.
Prepare accounts payable and account receivables
Prepare payroll tax returns, form 1099’s and sales tax returns.

Salary: $22.00-$25.00 /hour
Work Location:
Mostly remote; must have capability to travel to Southern New Hampshire periodically.
