Tanker Driver - Day Shift

OverviewLattimore Materials Corp is recruiting for full time Day Shift (midnight - noon) Tanker Drivers at the McKinney, TX site. This position will haul and deliver materials to and from specified vendors and job sites including loading and unloading in designated areas.

As directed and guided by the Driver Supervisor, the responsibilities of the position include:

• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Communicates truck/job status to dispatch. Drives truck to transport materials for construction projects in a safe, efficient and timely manner while observing haulage.
• Loads and unloads equipment and materials as requested or required. Ensures that safety procedures are observed
• Performs walk-around pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operations of truck. Maintains appearance of truck, keeps proper air pressure in tires, checks fluid levels including oil, hydraulic, coolant and fuel. Identifies safety problems or concerns and reports any unsafe conditions to Supervisor including near misses and areas where safety can be improved. Keeps a driver log for DOT

QualificationsMinimum of 1 year commercial driving with over-the-road experience
Excellent communication skills and ability to deal professionally with product suppliers, plant employees, dispatchers, mechanics and other drivers. Ability to read, write, and speak English
Valid Drivers License, CDL Class A
Must be willing to cross train on Ready Mix Concrete truck
