Role Purpose

The Talent Services Coordinator is a HR professional position that manages the BJC-wide candidate to employee hiring process. They work directly with Talent Strategies (Recruiting), HR Business Partner (HRBP), Legal, Occupational Health, Hiring Managers and the new employee, to ensure a seamless and successful on-boarding to BJC that aligns complies with federal, state, local, and BJC legal requirements and patient safety.
To be successful in this position a team member must possess and exhibit excellent communication, critical thinking, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize daily workload.
This position ensures each step in the process is completed in sequence and on-time within a condensed timeline while ensuring the safety of our staff and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Using strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills, guides the candidate through the full candidate-to-employee process, including occupational health screening, compliance (background screening, I-9 processing, badging) and new hire orientation. Ensures all milestones are met to vet the candidate’s eligibility to work, while troubleshooting issues and maintaining ongoing contact with the candidate to ensure a positive experience.
  • Monitors and conducts an analysis of the background screening report for each candidate to ensure compliance and safety. Partners with vendor to research any potential negative results, or concerns, identified on the background screening report and initiates any additional screening programs. Provides clearance of screening or alerts HRBP and Recruiter of any potential concerns and projected timeline for final analysis and completion. Partners with Legal, HRBP, and Recruiter to identify reason for rescind of initial offer. This requires the ability to professionally manage challenging discussions and decisions to ensure adherence to policies, and laws that protect the integrity of BJC and safety of our employees and clients.
  • Manages initial on-boarding session with candidate to ensure completion of Section I & II of form I-9 prior to first day of work at BJC. This is a federal requirement with costly fines that can dramatically increase with increased follow-up auditing if not completed and maintained correctly. This position must stay abreast of federal guidelines and ensure proper completion of forms and final review and approval prior to submission.
  • Manages coordination, completion, and distribution of the New Hire Orientation (NEO) rosters to assist HR with NEO sessions, ensuring appropriate information shared with candidates, and HR teams, along with badge creation and delivery to ensure a successful and seamless experience for the employee on their first day with BJC.
  • Monitors and manages credentialing of licensed employees to ensure appropriate pay adjustments and accurate recording of data in HCM system (People Soft). Leads continuous process improvements to increase efficiencies, reduce timeline and or cycle times, increase partnership with vendor and all HR partners.
