This is a primarily REMOTE position, applicants should be located in the Midwest Region of the US (Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana).
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for talent acquisition that is effective in meeting aggressive staffing plans. This position will focus primarily on recruiting handler, leads, and managers to fill warehouse labor positions. Must recruit candidates for direct hire, develop and maintain a pipeline of key talent available for immediate and future hire. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work with hiring managers and the FHI Staffing Manager to execute staffing plans. Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the entire hiring process, from sourcing to on-boarding. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal team members, staffing vendors, professional organizations, and reputable independent contractors to help identify and source qualified talent. Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, hiring manager interactions, and other recruiting activities. Observe legal compliance requirements within the talent acquisition process. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for full cycle recruiting, creating and posting ads, reviewing applications/resumes, interviewing, scheduling walk through interviews with onsite managers, and assisting with on-boarding. Complete candidate employment verifications and exit interviewing as needed.
Requirements:
- The ability to source and recruit large numbers of warehouse personnel on short notice.
- Must have experience working with an applicant tracking systems.
- Considerable knowledge of hiring laws and practices
- Ability to multi-task and handle heavy call volume
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time pressures
- Experience using social media recruitment strategies.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Prior experience using Workday a plus
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Focused on results and works with a sense of deliberate urgency, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Unquestioned integrity & commitment to team objectives.
- Proficient use of behavioral interview techniques.
- Ability to work with unstructured problems in an environment with incomplete data/information.
- Ability to work with highly confidential information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, human resources, or related area preferred.
- Human Resources experience preferred
- 2+ years recruiting experience (either corporate or agency)
- Professional demeanor and a positive attitude
- Willingness for limited travel including some overnight stays will be required.
- Safety Awareness – Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect individual and others safety. Ability to safely perform all required physical job duties wearing personal protective equipment, including but not limited to steel-toed shoes
