Job Description
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Twelve-month work year.
- Some evening or weekend hours will be required.
- Must be able to lift to 25 lbs.
- Employment responsibilities, compensation, or any other factor may be affected by change in governmental regulations, the Agency’s contracts, or at Agency discretion.
SALARY: $28.85/hr

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent field. Relevant HR experience can be substituted for education requirement.
- Two years HR experience, one year specifically in recruitment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Creative thinker and doer with established knowledge of applicant tracking systems and other platforms.
- Flexibility to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
- High comfort level with managing social media community engagement
- California Driver’s License with proof of liability insurance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with Paylocity HRIS
- Previous experience recruiting in childcare field
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Coordinates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs*
- Manages the Recruitment and Onboarding modules of the HR software system*
- Creates and manages the internal job posting requisition program*
- Post job opening advertisements externally based on requisitions from divisions*
- Oversees the application tracking system for all open positions in the HR software system*
- Work closely with recruiting search engines to be abreast of any promotions/special pricing*
- Source candidates through various on-line channels*
- Performs pre-employment screening by confirming hiring requirements: CPR/first Aid, health screenings/TB, education, process community care licensing, background checks, DMV checks*
- Creates and presents job offers to selected candidates*
- Reviews and updates job descriptions and corresponding steps to keep them up to date based on agency needs*
- Compiles data analytics on recruiting and generates reports, including but not limited to quarterly Administrators report, divisional new hire reports through the HR software system*
- Understands child development unit requirements (education, licensing, permits) to provide guidance to potential candidates and help current employees meet their professional goals
- Participate in the development and implementation of employee training and development program
- Oversees Step Increase Program*
- Maintain PULL Program for agency authorized drivers*
- Actively participates in job fairs and community outreach events to promote recruiting efforts*
- Establishes and maintains relationships with local college career centers
- Assist with various compliance reports including but not limited to EEOC and Affirmative Action*
- Participates in and gathers information for various salary studies as needed*
- Assists in the development of short term and long-term recruiting strategies according to agency needs*
- Conducts New Hire Orientation*
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works under the direction of the Human Resources Manager.
