We are seeking summer 2021 interns for our program supporting Perspecta’s Intelligence Group in Chantilly, Virginia. As an intern, you will work in a team environment and collaborate with other summer interns. You will learn about Agile methods and work in a Scrum Team. You will work on delivering an integrated platform for multiple intelligence applications in support of a real national Intelligence Community customer. You will explore different methods of software application containerization, cloud architectures, open source tools, trends and techniques to streamline ways to rapidly get data to users out in the field.

Additional Internship Information:This ten-week paid internship program. We ask that each intern be available to work the duration of the ten weeks and commit to working a minimum of 35 hours per week. This program is geared towards technical college students that actively enrolled at an accredited university, who are rising into their senior year. Sophomores may be considered if they have declared their major and have qualified coursework.
Our intern program is designed to provide college students the opportunity to learn about Perspecta and gain meaningful, hands-on work experience in a professional environment. We place an emphasis on developing the next generation’s workforce. You will be assigned a manager and mentor. As part of our internship curriculum we provide the opportunity for each intern to interact with various organizations within the company. This includes the chance to participate in a corporate public speaking exercise, complete technical training courses, attend brown bag sessions with our executive leadership team and participate in teambuilding activities with mentors and fellow interns. Our culture of mentoring, continuous learning and team orientation will be obvious from your first day on the job. Our goal is to build a roadmap that leads you to a long, rewarding and challenging career. We’ll work with you to help you determine your desired career path, and next steps to achieve your goals. At the end of the program each intern will give a brief presentation to our executive team summarizing their accomplishments and key takeaways achieved while working for us. You may also be given the opportunity to out brief your summer project to our federal government customer.

Qualifications
  • Requires a High School degree, and currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university. An ideal candidate would be a rising senior.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Willing and able to obtain a government security clearance, if necessary
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, and establish and maintain interpersonal relationships
  • Ability and desire to quickly acquire knowledge of new subject matter areas
  • Must possess strong decision-making skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Must possess the ability to quickly ramp up on technical details of a project
  • Must take initiative to provide creative alternatives / solutions to intractable challenges or systemic problems
  • Must be willing to present summer project to executive leadership team and/or federal government customer
