JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the execution of projects and break/fix support across System/Platforms disciplines. Role will provide broad technical expertise across all disciplines mentioned. Project execution will be overseen by Senior System Engineers and Lead System Engineers.
The role requires a comfort level of communicating professionally across different internal and external organization levels.
This role has primary working relationships with the Sales, Service Delivery, and other groups within ISG, as well as interacting directly with ISG customers. This role also has working relationships with vendors that ISG partners with, to ensure that the team stays current with new vendor technologies and capabilities. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
You will office out of the Overland Park, KS location. Because our data centers are in Overland Park, Topeka, Columbia, MO and Oklahoma City, you will be expected to make day trips or short trips to the other locations when needed.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Implements and maintains systems environments, including but not limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Successfully execute implementation projects for all sizes of ISG customers
- Work both independently and as a member of a team for project execution
- Collaborate with Senior Systems Engineers and Lead Systems Engineers to provide solutions to challenging problems.
- Provide break/fix support to ISG customers
- Provide technical expertise across a broad range of solutions and products
- Participate in team training programs in order to maintain standards of the team
- Provide pre-sales technical support to pre-sales team as needed
- Attend client opportunity meetings as a technical engineer
- Provide technical guidance on scopes of work as needed, create/present project handoff technical documentation and create/maintain client documentation
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, and keep current on technology products
- Participate in rotation of after hours on call support
- Ability to communicate and present objectives verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences
- Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively as a team leader or member
- Ability to create and implement detailed action plans
- Ability to manage and prioritize complex, changing workloads in a challenging technical environment
- Ability to travel approximately <20%
- Complete ConnectWise data entry in an accurate and timely fashion
- Travel to client sites and/or data center sites may be required; must possess valid driver’s license, and driving record must meet the criteria of ISG’s insurance carrier for acceptance of coverage

EDUCATIONAL/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience work with systems environments
- Experience working with standard sales methodologies and supporting tools and applications
- Previous leadership experience a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent/sometimes extended periods of standing and working on feet
- Frequent/sometimes extended periods of walking, bending and stooping
- Occasional lifting of servers, laser printers, uninterruptable power supplies, computers and similar technology devices (up to 70 lbs.)
