Job Description
Job Summary: Amentum is seeking a Systems Architect to support and assist customers with server needs, including architecture design and consultations, building, configuring maintaining and troubleshooting physical and virtual servers.

- Work on independent services and architecture tasks along with helping upgrades, troubleshooting) the team advance plan, develop and support solutions strategies related to application, server, software, and /engineering/administrating each
- Establish system information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems
- Help design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
- Work independently on assignments which support organizational and customer projects, programs, and business operations
- Develop solutions to specific problems related to issues of moderate scope, complexity, and impact with either internal or external customers
- Recommends updates to policies and general business operations and activities
- May recommend changes to methods or processes and occasionally leads teams and participates in planning, conducting, and reporting on projects

- Windows and Linux administration (upgrades, patching and security compliance requirements)
- Windows and Linux troubleshooting experience (setup, account management, file service, network configuration, license management, application hosting and end-user application support)
- Know-how on working with application vendors to understand, implement and maintain applications in a Linux environment
- Adjust to the nature of work requested, location and work hours are established to provide continuity of services when customer program teams typically require assistance and may be adjusted to meet customer priorities
- Handle multiple work requests by in-person contact, phone/email/IM requests, and ticket receipts
All work performed shall be documented in tickets, project tracking tools, or reported in team status meetings - Update system documentation shall be maintained per SNL and team standards
- Handle all levels of security requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
- Must have a Bachelor Degree and 7 years of experience or equivalent
- Technical hands-on experience
- Classified support experience STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guidance) familiarity or experience
- Familiarity of adherence to SNL Cyber policies or equivalent technical experience
- Continuous adherence to SNL Security and Safety directives or equivalent technical experience
