ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE:https://www.mass.gov/orgs/judicial-information-services-departmentPOSITION SUMMARY: Working within the Judicial Information Services Department, this position is primarily responsible for managing and maintaining the Judiciary’s Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange Online environment following ITIL standards, JIS policies and standards, and industry best practices. This position will also work as a member of the Infrastructure team to support the Judiciary’s on-premises server infrastructure. This Administrator will also be responsible for a variety of planning and implementation efforts related to our Microsoft environment, interfacing with our project management and information security teams as well as external vendors. May supervise departmental support staff as assigned by Deputy CIO for Infrastructure.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
The Systems Architect – Office 365 / Exchange Online reports to the Judiciary Deputy CIO for Infrastructure, receiving general direction in performing duties in accordance with established guidelines.

- Serve as Domain Administrator for the Microsoft Active Directory forest and domain.
- Manage the Office 365 Tenant.
- Understand Microsoft changes to Office 365 applications.
- Propose and implement updates and fixes to configuration and settings within Office 365.
- Periodically review the Microsoft Secure Score in Azure/Office 365 and work with the JIS Information Security Team to address any issues or areas where we can make improvements.
- Support Windows Server 2012/2016/2019.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Engineer, design, install, configure, secure, and optimize IT systems, both on-premises and in the cloud.
- Monitor and support server and cloud-based systems to ensure latest patches, security updates, settings and configurations are maintained within operational standards.
- Follow Change Management procedures for all changes to production environments, including documentation of all changes proposed and implemented.
- Maintain existing documentation and develop new documentation as required.
- Develop and update processes and contribute to ongoing Disaster Recovery efforts.
- Maintain data integrity and security in accordance with established standards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:These are the minimum requirements necessary to apply for the position of System Administrator - Office 365 / Exchange online:Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and at least 5 years of information technology work experience; or and equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Work experience must include 3 years administrating Office 365 and Exchange and 3 years administrating Windows Server and Active Directory;
- MCSE: Core Infrastructure or MCSE: Productivity required
- ITIL 3 or 4 Certification is a plus.
- CISM or CEH Certification is a plus.

- Understanding of Multifactor Authentication.
